Al the owner is the absolute best! I think my fiance and I loved him as much as we loved the venue, and let me tell you we were over the moon with the venue! The historic building is spectacular, with modern updates that are classy and timeless. Attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond really puts Al and the Palmer House in a league of their own. Al and his teams suggestions were fabulous to keep everything as affordable as possible, including some outside the box ideas that we had never considered. The split level floor plan allows for a more quiet spot for conversation on the main floor after the ceremony, while the basement is open to cut loose and dance the night away. The multi-level loft upstairs is the perfect sanctuary to spend the night, featuring a king sized bed and private room for the bride and groom, and also accommodates a small-close knit family on the bottom level very well. Easy access to the outdoor patio with a fire pit is another amazing touch. Located right in beautiful downtown Solon, our guests and us had easy access to the historic brewery, shopping and restaurants as well. We cannot recommend The Palmer House enough. Thank you Al for doing everything in your power to make our day special and unforgettable!

The PERFECT venue for parties and get togethers. Al and Amelia make everything so simple and easy. The venue is so historic and beautiful that there isn’t need to decorate further unless you want to. We just had our Silver Anniversary Vow Renewal and we had a wonderful time! From the gorgeous outdoor area, to have our vows, to the fire pits and sound system for the music and microphone. It was a very special night. Our out of towners easily stayed across the street at the Literary Hotel which is a gorgeous boutique hotel. They even had lots of decor we could use right there—from signs and table numbers to plates and wine glasses so we didn’t have to provide them ourselves.
